This policy covers thestoryofourexistence.com and the Ancient Calendar iOS app, both operated by The Story Of Our Existence® LLC, including work published under the names Ash N Dust Art™ and Vincent Anton.

Ancient Calendar App

Ancient Calendar is built to keep your data on your device. We do not operate a server that stores, transmits, or has access to your calendar entries, notes, or photos.

• Events, notes, and preferences — stored locally on your device only.
• Photos — used only if you choose a Picture of the Day; the app does not upload or share your photo library.
• Apple Calendar — reading your existing calendar events is optional and off by default; nothing is read unless you turn it on.
• Face ID — optional, used only to lock the in-app vault on your device. We never receive biometric data.
• Sign in with Apple — optional. The app is fully functional without signing in.

We do not sell, share, or monetize any data from the app. There are no ads and no third-party analytics or tracking SDKs inside Ancient Calendar.

The Website

When you make a purchase, contribute, or contact us through thestoryofourexistence.com, we collect the information necessary to complete that action:

• Orders — name, shipping address, billing address, and payment details, processed through Shopify's checkout system.
• Contributions — donations made via PayPal are processed directly by PayPal under their own privacy policy; we receive confirmation of the contribution, not your payment credentials.
• Messages — if you email us or submit a message through the site, we retain that correspondence to respond to you.
• Cookies & analytics — the site runs on Shopify, which uses standard cookies for cart functionality and may collect basic traffic analytics.
• Amazon Associates — our Amazon affiliate page contains links that may use tracking cookies managed by Amazon, not by us, to attribute purchases. See Amazon's own privacy policy for details on their tracking.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

Children's Privacy

Our website and app are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Ancient Calendar's age rating reflects its general calendar, photo, and biometric-lock features, none of which involve data collection from any user, including minors.

Your Choices

You can disable any optional app permission (Photos, Calendar, Face ID, Sign in with Apple) at any time in your device's Settings without losing access to core app functionality. For questions about data we hold related to a website order or message, contact us using the information below.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the app or website evolves. Material changes will be reflected by an updated effective date at the top of this page.
